So glad I took the plunge and purchased this model, after a few hours of research I feel this model can replace my 50 year old Singer (for soft furnishings i.e. curtains, heavy fabrics, cushions, mending, making clothes, etc.). I've tried it on different thicknesses of fabric and it sews great and is definitely more powerful than my old sewing machine (I'm usually the one who says things don't work like they used to but that's not true) Honestly , this situation surprised me). It was easy to string together (and so logical that I probably didn't need to look at the instructions to do it, but then I got used to it). I haven't tried all the features yet so can't comment on them. I mistakenly entered my initial review in the "Seller Reviews" field (no wonder I ran out of space), so I'll mention the seller here... My husband actually ordered this for my birthday As a gift, he saw the best one and decided to buy it. But it arrived in perfect condition. Love this machine, it's super easy to use, comfortable, practical but most importantly it's complete, it allows you to make many different stitches and gives you all the facilities of an industrial sewing machine

Very convenient and sturdy when sewing. Threading thread into needle 🪡 is my struggle. Overall I like this machine

Great little machine with lots of features and great sewing results

My advice: 1. If the bobbin wobbles in the bobbin case, use a felt bobbin spacer. 2. Important. Just use plastic rather than metal spools. 3. Make sure the threading is correct. Thread tension is critical and is managed in loops #3, #4, and #5. When threading, be sure to pull gently to ensure the thread is secure in the blind tensioner. Also, don’t forget to run the thread behind guide #6. 4. This may seem obvious, but be sure to lower the presser foot. Especially when setting up thicker fabrics/upholstery, it's easy to forget. If you forget, you'll soon learn that the underside of the bobbin side fabric will become stained. 5. Practice control with your feet. It launches from 0 to 60 in a split second. I'd like to find better control here, as fine control is challenging. 6. Use the correct size needle. The one that came with my machine is the 90/14, which works for a lot of things, but I recommend the 100 for thicker things like chihuahuas and small pets. Just kidding about that little pet crack. I gave this machine 5 stars just because of the price, and rightfully so. If the price was within the usual £100-£150 range I would give it 4 stars. It's not perfect because the foot controls are too sensitive. But it’s a well-made device that can handle heavy fabrics. It went through 6 layers of vinyl upholstery and plastic piping effortlessly. I do find that I get the best results when starting the needle manually on thicker, multi-layered fabrics.
